About the programme

Practical Learning. Real Confidence. Delivered in partnership with JT2 Hair & Beauty Academy, this programme introduces children and young people in care to practical hair, beauty and wellbeing skills within a safe, supportive and professional learning environment.

LEARNING OUTCOMES

Every young person is encouraged to learn at their own pace while developing practical skills, confidence and positive routines. By taking part, participants have opportunities to build confidence and self-esteem, develop practical vocational skills, improve communication and teamwork, strengthen independence and life skills, express creativity in a positive environment, and celebrate personal progress and achievement.

This programme is delivered in partnership with JT2 Hair & Beauty Academy, combining professional industry knowledge with relationship-based support to create an engaging and meaningful learning experience for children and young people in care.

Typically ages 11–17

This programme is delivered for secondary-school-aged young people through practical, confidence-building sessions in a professional salon setting. Each session is designed to support self-care, communication, creativity and positive personal development. Session times will be confirmed with referring organisations.

Eligibility & Funding

This programme is delivered by Amine’s Care Hub in partnership with JT2 Hair and Beauty Academy.

We welcome referrals from local authorities, schools, fostering agencies, charities, community organisations and other professional services, as well as private organisations seeking commissioned support.

Programme funding is arranged by the referring or commissioning organisation. Following an enquiry, we will provide programme fees, available start dates, safeguarding information and details of the referral process. Programme fees and arrangements are confirmed before the programme begins.

We welcome referrals from Local Authorities, Children’s Homes, Fostering Services, Schools, Virtual Schools and other responsible professionals.
